What Have You Been Missing?
If you have never been there, then you have been missing some of the best 4X4
off road racing there is. Over 300 competitors and thousands of fans from more than 30 states and
several provinces of Canada swarm to the little village of Cleves, Ohio every August just to take in four
days of exciting, fun filled racing.

and sanctioned by the East Coast Four Wheel
Drive Association, Gravelrama is a series of four events consisting of Flat Drags, Up Hill
Drags, Obstacle, and the enormously popular Big Eliminator Hill Climb. The
Junior Racer competition, which offers many young kids a chance to show their
skills is held on Friday.
This premier event began in 1971 and shows no sign of letting up. Each year seems to get better as it goes. The folks who have been going for years keep coming back for the competition and friendships they have built in the past. If you have never experienced this race, you too will be coming back after your first visit.
Meet The Chairman
Mike Hopper returns for a second year as the Chairman of Gravelrama. Many of you know Mike from his days of racing when he drove "Summertime Blues". Mike's many years as an event chairman at Gravelrama helps him understand the wants and needs of the racer, camper and the spectator. One of Mike's comments at his first organizational meeting was that everyone is a guest at our grounds and he expects them to be treated with the courtesy and respect they deserve. Rest assured you will find Gravelrama XXXVII to be another fun filled time for everyone with Mike at the helm.

Hey Race Teams!
Here's a great oppertunity to earn another trophy. Enter your ride in the competition for Best Engineered or Best Appearing Car and Crew . Winners will be recognized during the event and it's a great way to show off your pride and joy. Who knows, you might even get your picture published in one of the 4X4 newsletters or maybe make in onto a future race shirt.

Join our e-mail list IOK will be sending registration confirmations through email beginning this year. We will also send an e-mail to let you know when registration forms are posted on the web site. If you would like to be notified this way, please send your e-mail address to bill@gravelrama.com with "Gravelrama e-mail list" on the subject line and it will be added. All notifications will be sent with your address as a blind carbon copy to prevent others from knowing your address. For your protection IOK will not share your address with others.

If you have a Gravelrama story you want told on our site let me know. It can be about you or a friend or whatever. All you need to do is write it and send it in and we will put it on our site. It can be written in email or any type of text document. I will format it to work with our software. All we ask is that it not be something the kids shouldn't see.

Due to Ohio State Law
Alcohol will not be permitted to be brought into the spectator area during any event. Coolers will be checked at the main gate and again at the spectator entrance. Campers will be permitted to have alcohol at their campsite or out side the fence. They may not bring it into the spectator area. Beer will be sold on the grounds during the events!
Alcohol will be permitted inside the spectator area only when the race events are not running.
